Privacy Policy

How Palomi collects, uses, and protects your data.

Last updated: July 2, 2026

1. Who We Are

Palomi is operated by Lab 37 ("we", "us", "our"). We provide a service that lets you create reusable message templates and fill them in for consistent communication.

2. What We Collect

  • Account data: Provided via Clerk (e.g. email, name, and identifiers managed by Clerk).
  • Message templates: Template name, message structure, custom field definitions, and editor state stored in Convex.
  • Collaboration data: Collaborator invitations, access levels (viewer or editor), and related notifications stored in Convex.
  • Settings: Preferences such as whether the Chronopost pickup selector is enabled, stored in Convex.
  • Usage analytics: Vercel Web Analytics runs only after you accept analytics cookies via our cookie banner.

3. What We Do Not Store

When you fill in a template, the values you enter into custom fields are kept only in your browser for that session. They are not sent to or stored in our database and disappear when you reload the page.

4. How We Use Data

  • Provide, operate, and improve Palomi.
  • Authenticate users and manage accounts via Clerk.
  • Store and sync message templates and collaboration settings via Convex.
  • Look up pickup points when you enable the feature and search by postal code.
  • Measure site usage with Vercel Web Analytics after explicit cookie consent.
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse.

5. Third-Party Providers

We share data with the following providers to deliver our service. Each provider's own privacy policy and terms apply:

  • Convex: Storage of message templates, collaborator records, user settings, and notifications. (Privacy | Terms)
  • Clerk: User authentication, account management, and account deletion. (Privacy | Terms)
  • Vercel: Web hosting and analytics (analytics only after cookie consent). (Privacy | Terms)
  • Chronopost / Pickup: Optional pickup point lookup when you enable the feature and search by postal code. (Privacy | Terms)

6. Pickup Point Lookup

If you enable the Chronopost pickup selector in settings, Palomi sends a French postal code from your browser to our server, which queries the public Pickup map API (map.pickup.fr) to suggest nearby pickup points. We do not store pickup point selections or search history.

7. User Content

You are solely responsible for the content of message templates you create, edit, fill in, or copy from Palomi. We do not review user content and are not liable for messages you send using the service.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete individual message templates at any time. To delete your account and all associated Palomi data, use the account deletion option in your Clerk account settings. When your account is deleted, we remove your templates, collaborator records, notifications, settings, and profile data from Convex.

9. Your Rights

  • Access, correct, or delete your data.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (e.g. analytics cookies).
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise your rights, contact us at contact@usepalomi.com. You can also manage your account directly in Clerk.

10. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11. International Transfers

Data may be processed in regions where our providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards where required by law.

12. Children

Palomi is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.
