Terms of Service

1. Overview

Palomi is a service provided by Lab 37 ("we", "us", "our") that helps you create reusable message templates and fill them in for consistent communication. By accessing or using Palomi, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Account and Eligibility

Authentication is handled by Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. Palomi is not intended for children under 16 years old.

3. The Service

Palomi lets you:

• Create an account or sign in.
• Create and delete reusable message templates stored in the cloud.
• Fill in template details locally in your browser (not stored on our servers).
• Invite collaborators who already use Palomi by email, as viewers or editors.
• Create templates from a premade example library.
• Copy a filled message to your clipboard.
• Delete your account and associated data from Clerk account settings.
• Prefill an address from a pickup point selection when the feature is enabled.

4. Roles and Collaboration

• Owner: The user who created the template. Can edit the template, invite or remove collaborators, and delete the template.
• Editor: Can edit the template structure and content.
• Viewer: Can fill in a template but cannot edit its structure.

Only the owner can remove collaborators or delete a template.

5. User Content

You are solely responsible for the content of message templates you create, edit, fill in, or copy. We do not guarantee that any message is appropriate, accurate, or lawful for your intended use. You must ensure your content complies with applicable laws and respects third-party rights.

6. Third-Party Providers

To provide the service, your data is processed by third-party providers. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and your rights. Provider terms and privacy policies:

Vercel Web Analytics is enabled only after explicit cookie consent.

• Convex: Storage of message templates, collaborator records, user settings, and notifications. (Privacy | Terms)
• Clerk: User authentication, account management, and account deletion. (Privacy | Terms)
• Vercel: Web hosting and analytics. (Privacy | Terms)
• Chronopost / Pickup: Optional pickup point lookup via the public Pickup map API. (Privacy | Terms)

7. Pickup Point Feature

When enabled in settings, Palomi queries the public Pickup map API through our server using a postal code you provide. Pickup point data is supplied by Chronopost/Pickup and subject to their terms. We do not guarantee the accuracy or availability of pickup point information.

8. Acceptable Use

• Do not create or share unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the service.
• Respect third-party rights and applicable laws.

9. Availability and Changes

We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete individual templates at any time. To delete your account and all associated Palomi data, use the account deletion option in your Clerk account settings. Account deletion removes your templates, collaborator records, notifications, settings, and profile data from our systems. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lab 37 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or loss of data, profits, or business opportunities arising from your use of Palomi.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
